Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Pregnancy
Hello!
Was hoping to get some advice or opinions from other women with EDS or people who know about high risk pregnancy.
I'm 31 and have I have a severe case of EDS ( been told classic and/ or hypermobile) along with osteoporosis, mast cell activation syndrome and a history of blood clots.
My husband and I have gone to 4 fertility docs and high risk pregnancy specialists but none of them will tell us if it's safe to continue trying to have a child ( 7 months TTC).
We've been told I'd be on lovanox injections everyday the entire pregnancy and have a high risk of preterm labor , uterine rupture , hemorrhage, hip displacement , pelvic separation (?) , more dislocations than I already have a day ( hard to believe!) , along with a ton of other things yet follow the laundry list of risks with "try if you want", " but it could happen to anyone" or " flip a coin".
Has anyone had a baby with EDS? If so, how was it ? Did you pass the gene to your child ?
Does anyone know of any good doctors in Florida for EDS?
