When did you say I love you

I started dating my boyfriend about 5 months ago. I always thought loving somebody required work, or giving up a part of yourself. (My ex husband was emotionally and physically abusive). I've not dated anybody in the 3+ years since leaving my husband. Spent time focusing on me. In walks this guy and it is so easy to be with him. He allows me to be myself, no apology needed. He makes me feel wanted, and cared for. My daughter loves him, and he is so good to her, includes her in our plans. I know I love him. I love who he is, what he stands for, how he makes me feel and the smile he puts on my daughter's face. I can't tell him. I am so afraid of being rejected, I am 95% sure he feels the same way. But my self doubt and insecurities won't let me say the words. My question is how long did you wait and how did you tell your man that you loved him? Or did he say it first?
