Crate Training Your Dogs? 🐶

Taylor 🌻

Do you think putting your dog in a crate is a form of animal abuse? By this I mean training them to be in a crate when you're not home, or making it their place to eat & sleep.

Personally, 2 of 3 of my dogs are crate trained. They've got blankets and pillows in there that I wash regularly, they have toys and bones to keep them occupied and we bought the extra large sized crates that way they have plenty of room to stretch and sleep comfortably. They love their crates & when I say "go to your crate" they go right in if the doors are open and at dinner time they run right to their crates and wait for my slow pregnant ass to bring their bowls to them 😂

I've never seen people call it abuse until I read responses from some on this app. While I think its absolute abuse to keep an animal confined in a crate for a long time or most of its life, I don't think its abuse to keep them crated if were not home for 2-3 hours. I've seen people say that crate training is lazy dog parenting, and that dogs should just be trained not to destroy the house when you're not home but thats not always easy as some dogs have real separation anxiety issues or do what they can get away with (my puppy is a fine example of this one) when no human is looking!

So do you believe in crate training or do you find it abusive? Does the crate help in your home? Also, feel free to share pictures of your doggies because who doesn't love cute pup pics right? 🐶 Below are pictures of Brooklyn (tan) and Bronx (black) my lil pitbulls 💕
