Nipple Piercing Smell Bad?!

So my nipple piercings smell like I have gauges and my theyvgage that foul Oder, and my boyfriend said they taste bad as well. Do you girls have any suggestions on how to get them to smell better or get that Oder away?! TIA

I know this is totally way late but jewelry quality plays a big part. Get titanium because even surgical steel can contain levels of nickel and other metals that will react funny with skin. Additionally the body naturally produces an oil called sebum that when mixed w dead skin and bacteria produces a pretty foul odor. The best way to avoid this is to remove jewelry before showing, cleaning the piercings and jewelry and maybe using a bit of tea tree oil and lavender on the areas. Hope this helps!!

I actually think that smell is somewhat normal. My nose piercing is healing great, but if it gets irritated, it produces a clear, smelly fluid. I just wash it really well, and generally clean what I can of my jewelry with alcohol. In other words, I do follow the procedure that a previous poster talked about. If they aren't dwelling or uncomfortable, though, I doubt it's infected.

Do you clean them regularly? Take them out every week and clean them and make sure you scrub your boobs in the shower
