What has been some experiences on the Depo shot

I haven't had my shot yet but that is the method I've decided on. What's some experiences other people have had so I know what it does. I know everyone is different but it's still good to know what it can effect.

I honestly regret going on the depo. Other then it screwing up my period it gave me the WORST cramps ever...I mean like agony  crying painful cramps. I couldn't walk and or stand. The pain was so bad. And I'm full of tattoos and piercings I felt like I was about to push out a baby with no epidermal  or drugs to easy the pain. I will never use it again. And when I did get my period it was the red wedding all over down there. I swear I lived in the bath tub.

It's terrible! I do get my period but when I do it's for a month straight not crazy bleeding but spotting and it's weird plus all that money on pads is annoying. My first time I lost weight my second time right now I've gained tons of weight. I get little cramps but I am super emotional and I cry for no reason and this is weird considering I was such a heartless person before the shot.

When I was on the shot I had no period at all but became the biggest bitch in town, super moody, would get pissed off over nothing. Very irritable...I didn't gain any weight but am already chubby, but a girl I know that was also on it blew up like a balloon... It affects everyone differently, it's worth a shot lol. If it don't work out try a different form next time.. I'm on the pill now, waaaayyy calmer. Good luck.

I just got it 2 weeks ago so far Iv been moody irritable easily annoyed I have harsh cramping and some spotting

It can affect your fertility. Just be aware of that.

Well if you get the shot during ur period between the first and the 5th day it will work immediately but if u get it later than that like on the 6thor 7th  day of your period you would have to wait 3-4weeks that's what my pharmacist told me atleast tho.

It seems like my gyno left out a lot of things. She told me I'll gain 5 pounds and possibly have worse migraines. Cramps she said could get worse or better. I'm already super moody the week leading up to my period of my pms symptoms now last up to 4 days before my period. Hopefully it makes it better but hard to tell.
