Momma to the rescue

My momma that is.

So i have been craving chicken and dumplings (drop biscuits in chicken gravy, with chicken, over rice) for a couple days. I decided to make them tonight. I took out the chicken early this monring in preperation.

Well, i started boiling it, all seasoned up. Made my boys something else to eat. I go to take out the biscuit mix to make my dumplings, and some pests had gotten to the box. In the trash it went. So i decided i would make chicken Alfredo or cajun chicken pasta instead..... checked my fridge, out of heavy cream which i need to make both. It's okay, i thought. I will make a Velveeta cheesy chicken skilet meal. I like those too. Open my cupboard, not a box insight. Actually, i had no boxed meals to make with the chicken. Que hormones. I shed a few tears, and decide i need to tell my mother how this went down, she will laugh and it will make me laugh.

I call up my mama. She answers, i ask her what she is doing, she tells me she is at the store in her town, 5 miles away from me. I ask if she can pick me up a box of bisquick (or whatever they have) and proceed to tell her my dinner plan fails. She laughs of course, and tells me she will get me some and bring it over. Then, being the caring mama she is, knowing my hormones are in swing, i got stressed and have to deal with a emotional thing tomorrow, asks me if i have a drink or if i want her to grab me something (juice, soda, ect) i tell her i am fine and have just been sticking to water. She then asks if my boys need a snack for the night. I tell her we have popcorn, and ice cream so they should be fine. She says ok, and hangs up. About 10 minutes later she shows up with the bisquick and 2 packs of starbursts for my boys.

I thank her, and she explains that she understands the want for chicken and dumplings.
