Out Of State Family
Hi expecting mommies! I need some different inputs. My husband and I live in California and our family all lives in Illinois. While it is some time away still we are due with our first baby in October. My husband will be taking 5 weeks off when she is born and then we will be waiting and using the last two weeks around the Christmas holiday to fly home. Here's my dilemma and what I am struggling to decide, when should we allow people out to visit? Our apartment is small two bedrooms ours and the nursery. There is a hotel across the street. We have already had 4-5 people express interest in wanting to come out when the baby is born or shortly after (mainly family ours moms, my sister and a close friend). I don't mind visitors but I'm nervous about our bonding time with the baby if we are constantly having to entertain out of town guests since it is so different then people just dropping by our house for an hour or two. Do I put a limit on how long they can come? Is it rude to ask them all to try and come around the same time? How do I set boudries when it comes to this? I want to make sure that we have time to grow as a family but also I don't want to tell people no since this is an important event for them as well.
