baby bottles or no bottles?!!

hi all, I plan to breast feed exclusively but when you look at baby bag lists, feeding bottles have been suggested- do you know why? Why would you need bottles if you don't plan to bottle feed?? Am I missing something?

They're good to have for just in case situations or if you plan to pump and feed.

They're also good to help dad bond by feeding baby or if there's an emergency where you have to leave baba.

And even with the best intentions and trying as hard as you can, you might not be able to breastfeed, so a box/carton of formula and bottles are good to have so you don't have to make a mad dash to the shops after you've given birth.

I needed some because I'm going to have to go back to work. So my lactation consultant recommended introducing one bottle a day around 4 weeks just to get him used to it.

If you ever need someone to babysit then you'll need to have bottles prepared with your breastmilk.

I think they'd be nice to have for if you need someone to watch the baby. I plan to breast feed but I'm going to need bottles for when I get back to work. Also if I want my husband involved in the feeding he'd have to bottle feed.
