My baby is about 3.5 weeks old and the last week or so he's been having, what it seems to be, gas pains and straining to poop. He was having very regular bowel movements the first 1-2 weeks but it's slowed down. It seems like every time he wakes up he's crying and having stomach pains. I've tried mylicon infant gas drops that seem to somewhat work and tried gripe water that I don't think helped at all. I am massaging his tummy and soothing him as much as I can, but he seems so irritable and it's been extremely tough and tiring. Spoke with his doctor and was told it's the hormones from delivery that are affecting his intestines and digestive system and it's normal for more gas and bowel changes at this time. I didn't have any of this with my daughter. Is anyone else dealing with fussy gassy babies at this time ?? Anything that helps them?? Is this normal ?? Just scaring me and keeping me worried, I hate seeing him crying and uncomfortable. Please help! 😔
