feeding and pumping at the same time. how???

Question

For those that pump one side and feed babe from the other side... How do you do it? My babe usually need 2 of my hands as she unlatches a lot and needs help relatching (she gets lost on her way back to the goldmine) and pumping takes 2 hands to get it started. What am I doing wrong?

Good luck. I have extremely large breast so I've never been able to do both. I breast fed my first fit 13 months and now my newborn. I have tried EVERY trick and nothing works.

I cut a hole in a sports bra and it holds the pump in place and I start it first then put baby to the other side and do the football hold

Try football hold! It frees up one hand. Or make a contraption that holds the pump to your boob

I wrap my boppy pillow around one side of me and prop baby up in football hold on top of the pillow and I can just kind of position my nip in her mouth while pumping.

Start the pump before you get them on the goldmine (I laughed so hard at that lol). If you can get a freemie cup I would HIGHLY suggest it!!! You can get attachments for different pumps so you can just use the cups but yeah if I'm pumping and feeding I use my freemie. Otherwise I find I like a manual pump better.
