irregular Cycle..Help! Do I even Ovulate ladies???

Hello All! So Hub and I are TTC but my cycle is all the way left. It varies to when it come.Does this mean I'm never ovulating. Went to doctor, she recommend that I go back to Birth Control to regulate. :( What's ya'll thoughts??
