I've gotten a lot of hate for getting a promise ring and for me planning to give one to my love. A lot of girls are saying how stupid and pointless they are and how, we probably won't even last... my boyfriend and I are long distance. Have been for a year and 9 months. And we've been dating 2.5 years. We are going to last but I dont need all this hate, I am happy that my boyfriend was serious enough to give me a promise ring because he knows what it stands for and that he wants to marry me some day but we're too young. Hearing all this negativity really upsets me
