I woke up today with bad tonsillitis and I had a really bad sleep. Didn't sleep at all, my gf told me all day how she can't wait to see me and we are just going to cuddle and I was going to cook spaghetti tonight ( something easy ) as I don't feel well.

And then she msges me just then saying she is going to go hang with her friend instead? And basically ditches me???

I am actually so upset about this.
But she doesn't understand this? 
It's basically all my fault for getting upset saying she ditched me to go hang with her friend

Doesn't sound like she is  very invested in your relationship. . 
Its fine having friends - even changing plans when necessary but when you are ill she should be there for you. . I am sure she woodlands expect you to put her first if she was poorly.

Just to play devil's advocate here...it looks like she DID ask first and then got sick of the attitude and was like "fine, fuck it, be alone then." When people are sick, they often have shitty attitudes. Some people deal with that better than others. She doesn't look like the nurturing type.

I get that y'all made plans. And the other friend prolly asked to hang out and she was like "Well, I was gonna hang with X since they aren't feel well..." but then also rationalized that if you weren't feeling well, maybe you'd be okay not hanging out and she could go have a fun girls night or whatever.

Personally, I don't think either of you communicated your feelings very well here.

It's not your fault at all. She made a promise and fell flat on it. Tell her how you're feeling and that you're ill and really just want/need her and it's shitty of her to drop you for friends.

This is almost exactly the same as me and my ex. He would make plans with me then ditch me last minuet for his mates. It was a horrible feeling so I know how u feel. The thing is he didn't see what he was doing wrong. He was a very selfish person. Sorry but u don't sound happy with each other
