A big no for solid why ?

My baby is almost six months and i have been trying solids .. But he is just not ready to take food.. He doesnt even want to taste the food😑😑 i tried apple banana rice cereal but he shuts his mouth tytly or send food out of his mouth.. Shud i force feed him?? 🤔

No, solids before a year old are just practice and not nutritionally necessary. That said, some babies just need more exposure to new foods before they take them, literally ten tries. Keep offering it but don't push it. Also you should do one food by itself at a time and not do a new food for several days to make sure there's no reaction. I would do just oatmeal for a few days or just banana.

My son is the same wY?  Hates eating solids- I've only tried purée and he just gags.  I M taking a break and am going to try BLW since he loves to chomp on everything and seems to be more comfortable.

Definitely don't force anything. He doesn't need solids right now for nutrition. I've seen "food before one is just for fun" so keep that in mind. Keep offering. Let him explore with his hands first rather than trying to spoon feed. Babies put everything in their mouths so eventually some will get in there 🙂
