Coping with cervical checks??

34 weeks, been in the hospital trying to slow down contractions, already 4cm dialated! Hate these checks on the cervix 😔 please tell me how you mamas get through them without kicking, climbing off the bed and screaming? I'm terrible and feel so embarrassed!

I've only had one and all I had heard was horror stories about how painful they are. I prepared myself by telling myself it will be nothing compared to the pain of labor and I need to suck it up. Lol. Not sure if mentally it worked or physically I just didn't find it that painful, but either way, it was easy for me.

I close my eyes and do slow easy breaths. In your nose out your mouth. Just focus on your breathing, maybe flex your toes, anything to distract you! Know it doesn't last long!

Breath and close your eyes and think about the baby. The checks are usually a few seconds so hopefully you can hold on

All you can do is relax as much as possible.... I know easier said than done. Some women don't find them painful but I always did. I'm denying them this time until I'm in labor or delivery because of that reason and because I was closed, long, and not even he slightest bit dilated hours before my water broke lol. I know you don't have a choice.... hope things go well and good luck
