pregnant or no?

So, how soon can an at home pregnancy test detect a pregnancy?

I've got an 8 year old daughter and I know what my symptoms were then..starting to experience some of the same things.

Cannot sleep on my stomach, and I'm eating way more than I usually do, and almost constant nausea.. I'm due for my period in about 10 days, should I wait it out or go ahead and get a test!?

I know the body can play mind games sometimes lol and I may be picking up on these things just because it was like this with my daughter..so I'm just not sure what to do.
