How do soon to be mothers feel about Mother's Day?

People are always saying " if you haven't had your baby yet you can't consider yourself a mother " i don't get that at all. Idc if your pregnant with your first and your baby is already giving you problems HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ! all on my fb ppl are saying when Mother's Day gets here for soon to be moms not to consider that day for them yet and I find that stupid & dumb af 🙄💯

Ugh people. You don't go out drinking every weekend, you are trying to keep a child healthy, you buy clothes,toys, diapers, etc, you have restless nights and a baby that kicks you and sometimes won't settle. You have space in your home all set up for a baby. May be a little quieter but if all that applies to you you're a mom imo. Others shouldn't worry so much about things that don't effect them.

Omg..... if you are growing a child you ARE a mother! Your body is nurturing that child in your belly! You are taking care of that child in your belly! You are a mother whether your holding them in your arms, in your belly or in your heart. ❤ your a momma, momma!

Like I told my mom yesterday I'm not a mother yet but I'm on my way to being a mother I'm going through pregnancy and even if I were to lose my baby I would say that I am a mother to an angel baby ... so I think if your pregnant then your on your way to being a mother and you should be able to say it's your first mothers day .. but for me I wouldn't celebrate yet :)

I was so annoyed because my mother say "yes well you haven't gave birth yet" and I was like no i might not have giving birth yet but I have been carrying a baby for 17 weeks now and it's not the easiest thing to go through.. being sick all the time and what not .. so I think I should be able to call this my first mothers day cause I'm becoming a mom slowly but I'm still carrying my baby

My husband is getting me something for Mothers Day and I'm 20 weeks tomorrow. When my brothers ex was pregnant he and my mom both bought her something for Mother's Day. Let people say what they want about it. I know people who have women who helped raise them and they get them small gifts for that day. Giving birth isn't the only way to become a mother! My body is changing, my diet is restricted, my money is being saved for the birth and it's all because of the child growing in my belly. I am that child's mother.
