My bf & I have been together for 3 years now. I've never had a problem with his parents. There have of course been some misunderstandings between us which has caused tension, but we have been perfectly fine. On Sunday I had to work, so my bf picked me up when I was done & were going to go out shopping & do a bunch of errands. Right as we were about to get to Target, his dad calls & asked if we can go to the market to get some sauce. While my bf was on the phone I mentioned that it's more convenient for them to go get it since it seemed urgent & since they're 1 min away from the market. My bf than told his dad if he can go get it instead, but his dad got pissed & hung up. When we got to Target I even looked for that sauce there but they didn't have it. We than went to 3 more stores after. When we got home his parents seemed pissed all night. I mentioned it to my bf before I left, but he said I didn't do anything, just him. This morning my bf was pissed at me & told me I'm trying to turn him against his parents, which I definitely am not! I explained to him that I said it's more convenient for them because we were planning to go to a bunch of places & they seemed to want it right away. He was telling me I convinced him to do that. He said he now knows I wasn't trying to do that & isn't mad with me, but it just sucks that his dad is still pissed & that he has to deal with this situation. He said once he tells his dad what was really meant that he should be fine. It sucks because I won't be able to see him until Thursday, & it sucks that I'm stressing so much over this when I have finals on top of that's. Idk what to do 😒
