bleeding

I really need some advice. I'm in the UK and found out I'm 4 weeks and 4 days now (found out on Saturday). I started light bleeding yesterday and passed a small clot, I had very slight cramping nothing major. I called my Dr and they booked me in for an appointment, the dr referred me for a scan at the hospital. The hospital refuse to see me before 7 weeks. So now I'm stuck in limbo, still with light red bleeding not knowing if our baby is still there or not. I've called my Dr this morning and asked for a blood test, just waiting for a call back.
