I have not been breastfeeding for about 3 to 4 weeks. any chance that I can get my milk supply back?

My baby boy was not gaining during his first month. I decided to stop and strengthen him up with formula. But I miss our bonding time and sometimes wish I could hold him and breastfeed. Any chance I can get my milk supply back? It's been almost a month.

There are lots of links and videos on YouTube about relactation you should check them out. Getting help from a lactation consultant could also help and offer you some support. I've read that it's not easy but with hard work and commitment it's possible. Good luck to you!

Yes. This is what I did. My daughter wasn't gaining so I had planned to pump and supplement. I don't respond to a pump so I ended up breastfeeding here and there but mostly bottle fed. If you go to llli.org you can find your local La Leche League which is a giant support. Or you can go to kellymom.com. You'll need to latch the baby A LOT and slowly remove formula. It might be good to work with an IBCLC.

Yes you can. It takes dedication and determination. It won't hurt anything to try. You can loook up relactation on kellymom.
Try skin to skin. Get in just a pair of shorts and put him in just a diaper. No pressure on him just lots of cuddling and see if he will latch. A warm bath will also help.
