Dress fitting - am I in the wrong?
I am getting married next year and am feeling pretty down at the moment, so to cheer myself up i thought I'd jump the gun and try on some dresses before I go with my mom and MIL, so I know what type of style i want.
I have a 6 week old baby and he was asleep in his carrier seat, I went to the shop I had been in before with a friend and they were very relaxed about her trying on a few dresses.
The shop is operated on a locked door that you have to ring a bell to get inside, but don't let this fool you it's a standard high street dress shop, nothing high market.
The lady came to the door and barely smiled at me, when she saw the carseat shr refrained from opening the door properly and I asked if I could have a look around and she pointed to my baby and said, "not with him you can't he needs to be watched by someone."
I politely said to her, "could I just try on 1 or 2 dresses? He's asleep in his car seat he won't be running around the shop"
Her response was "No you can only look"
I said to her no thank you and left
I left the front of the shop in tears I was so upset.
Am I wrong for feeling like this? It's knocked my confidence for trying any other shops now
