zofran?

Has anyone ever taken zofran for nausea? Some of the girls I work with say they have taken it, was just curious if anyone has had it prescribed by their doctor?

I was prescribed it and it was literally a life saver as I ended up with esophageal tearing from the vomiting. I'm now 23 weeks and according to ultrasounds bubs is developing as he should be. I trust both my obs and GP with mine and my babies wellbeing and they both recommended it for me.

I took it with both of my first two and had no problems. I've had some this time too while I was waiting for insurance to approve diclegis. I have really bad HG. So, I need all of the help I can get. Lol!

There are some risks of birth defects with this medication. I'd say it's a personal decision. A lot of women swear by unison and b6 together - also known as diclegis. My ob doesn't offer zofran for nausea.

It's safe to take during 2nd and 3rd trimester

I had mine prescribed by my doctor my sister gave me heck about it saying I'm not putting my baby's health before my own but it's the only way I can function and my baby is growing and wiggling away inside!
