Does Birth control really help w periods ? Help how ?

If you're thinking about going on birth control , make an appointment with your doctor . They can go over the numerous options and talk about pros and cons. I went back on birth control in August and hadn't been on it for about 2 years so when I went in my doctor told me everything; the types of birth control , the pros and cons and all the details .

Yes!! My flow is so much lighter and I don't get any cramps now.

For me it did. I would get a period once every other month or once every couple months. I now get my period every month on the same day.

It depends on you, birth control made me really sick personally

It can. It depends. It's also going to work differently for every woman. It also depends on the kind of birth control you use. They all have different types of hormones and different amounts.
In my experience though, it has shortened my periods immensely and regulated them about 90% of time. I used to have super long and heavy periods and not regularly or every four weeks or once a month. But once I began the pill, it definitely helped all that. For me at least.
