2 WEEK PERIODS !!??

Question

So I got the implant in November to be stress free for sex and possibly stop my bad period pains and they said it would take about 3-6 months to calm down and sort out the days of period again but it's been 6 MONTHS NOW and i've bled for about 2 weeks EACH MONTH!!

I'm also really afraid of needles and this took a lot of guts for me to get and I really don't wanna be getting sliced open to take this thing out and worrying about other contraception !!

any advice ??

I have the same problem. I have the 3 year implant and it "expires" this November. The first couple of months I didn't have a period but then after like month 4, I've had anywhere from 5-14 day periods But they're usually 9-11 days. (Before the implant my periods were 9 days long and consistent.) I get them usually twice a month too. 🙁 Its really inconvenient because I have no pattern what so ever. I've gone to the doctor and the only thing that helped was doubling up on birth control and taking the pills as well. But that really messed with my hormones. My advice would be to give it a 2-3 months and see if it settles down and gets a pattern. If not, I'd suggest trying a new method. I bleed so much and spend so much money on tampons it's crazy and it's not worth it. Even if you don't like needles, it saves money and your mood lol.
