Period. . . but high, soft, and open cervix??

So I'm on cycle day 4 of my period right now and I believe I have irregular periods that are between 27-33 days, however during my period my cervix is usually low and hard and closed and my last cycle was actually 9 days late, which has never happened to me because I have this app P.D. And have been tracking for almost 2 years now and it's been spot on every time. So it was super nerve-wrecking. But I'm on cycle day 4 now and I check my cervix last night and it's high, soft and open. This morning too. And my bleeding is very light now considering days 1-3 were heavy. So me and my SI bded last night and I'm just super confused as to if this could be ovulation that's really early or I'm going to ovulate soon because of it?? Has anyone had this happen to them??? Any advice or info welcomed!!
