How do y'all feel about promise rings? Good idea or not? Should both partners wear them? What's a good time or an appropriate age for someone to receive a promise ring? Which finger do you wear it on? How do you hint to your man that you want A FUCKING RING???

Promise rings are more of a teenager thing so if you're in your 20's best to hint at an engagement ring.

We talked about rings and he surprised me last year on Christmas with one and this New Years he gave me a engagement ring. My fiancé bought me a simple, yet beautiful promise ring on our 2 year anniversary. It's sterling silver, with the birth stone of the month we started dating. I was 17 and he was 18. We started dating when I was 15 and he was 16. 
Now, as far as telling him, I would casually bring it up. Maybe say, "How do you feel about me wearing a promise ring?" Or, "What are your thoughts on promise rings?" Something like that to bring up the subject. 😊
And if you do get one, you'll wear it on your 4th finger on your left hand (ring finger.)

I think promise rings are so cute! But almost everyone I know that's had a promise ring wound up breaking up for one reason or another. My best friend's ex got her a promise ring and she broke up with him 6 months later, but everyone hated him and he was super manipulative and awful. Another friend of mine's boyfriend gave her one (and then cheated on her because he's an ass) but she started dating another friend of ours and they got promise rings together and now they're married. So I've got mixed feelings about whether I actually would want one.
