Are you okay with your child calling their step parent "mom" or "dad"?

Yea I wouldn't mind. It doesn't change my role as my kids mother, I'm secure in that. Step parents are parents too and it's whatever my kid is comfortable with.

I don't have any kids, but I would be fine with whatever they called their stepparent. I know what it's like when parents try to force kids to take sides and request that they act a certain way to the other parent or other parent's SO. It can do some major damage to the kid.

My stepdaughter calls me momma cassie and her mom doesn't care. She knows whose belly she came out of lol. 
Her mom and I get along great though and between her, my husband and myself we have a great coparenting relationship.

When I was little my stepmom was not the greatest so I called her by her name. I'm fiercely protective of my mom too, and no one else deserves her title. My stepdad, however lol, I love him. I call him dad and by his name, just whatever comes out. My kids call him papa. 
I don't really speak to my dad much, though. If it had been different and they were amazing parents too, my mom wouldn't have cared if I called her mom. She just wanted me to have 2 great sets of parents and that would've made her happy.

Both my ex and I are remarried and we have a wonderfully blended family . My husband and I have two children together as well and when we have all the kids I typically just say "my kids". Id never make it a point to say well this one isn't mine,  but the other two are.  Her mother knows I use that phrase in public and private,  and is actually okay with it bc it makes her daughter feel welcomed and part of the family .  Personally it shouldn't matter to anyone which kids came out of my Yahoo.  I have three kids .  Period .  The Same applies for when my daughter is out with her step mother.  I don't expect her to correct everyone or advertise that my daughter isn't hers .  I'd they are out and someone says "your daughter is beautiful " , I just expect her to say thanks.  I even for her a little something for MOTHERS day to thank her for being a wonderful friend to me and a fantastic step mother to my daughter.  We don't use mom and dad.  My husband has essentially raises my daughter and she still calls him by his first name .  For us it's a matter of respect .

In my opinion I wouldn't want my kids calling another person mom. I'm their only mom. I have step kids and I love them but I wouldn't disrespect their mom (as much as I hate her) by having them call me mom. They call me by my name and it works.

I call my step-mom by her name and correct people if they say she's my mom. My step-dad I call by his name just because it's been that way for so long, but I don't correct anyone if they say he's my dad. My relationship is very different from my step-mom to my step-dad. To me, he feels like my dad, but she does not feel like my mom. So I think every relationship is different.

If I had a family situation like this, I would allow my child and their step parent to decide what they want to call each other. If it's "dad", awesome. If it's their first name, awesome. My SOs niece and nephew call their step-dad "daddo" which I think is really cute

I think it depends on how long they've been in their life. Like my dad has been my brothers dad for longer than I've been alive. I think my brother was 2 or 3 when my mom and dad met? And my brother calls my dad 'dad', because my dad was the one who raised him. But my SO has had multiple stepmoms, but they came into his life when he was already 9/10 or older. His dad and his mom divorced when he was a kid, then his dad divorced again when he was between like 13-15, and now he's married again. He called/calls both women by their names.
