New to PCOS & Metformin - Help?

Question

Just been diagnosed with PCOS
Wondering if anyone can lift my spirits? 
I know it's still possible to fall pregnant with PCOS but I'm really feeling down knowing it's going to be harder for me.

although it does make sense why nothing has happened for the last 1 year TTC. 
Anyone else taking Metformin? 
This is how my dr prescribed I take it

First 7 days - 1 tablet (500mg a day) 
Next 3 weeks - 2 tablets (1000mg a day) 
Following 3 weeks - 3 tabs (1500mg a day)

Has anyone else lost weight with metformin? 
How long did it take you to get your BFP?

My doctor didn't actually diagnose me with PCOS but she didn't rule it out either. She prescribed me metformin because I'm not ovulating on my own. She prescribed me 2000mg a day but told me to start out with 500mg and work my way up to the 2000mg. I hope it works for both of us!! I've been ttc for 3 years now, but I refuse to lose hope!

I have PCOS for many years and have 2 kids. Every woman with PCOS is different, for example I get my period every single month, but I have other problems such as heavy and painful periods. In 2014 we trying for our 3rd one and at 10 weeks I suffered a miscarriage. Now I'm in 1000 mg of metformin and I will start clomid in my next period. My sister was also recently diagnosed and we take one day at a time. Don't worry about PCOS, just do what your doctor says and you will be fine. Good luck!
