My bf and I are young but we've been dating for a year and a half... no plans of getting married anytime soon but we have talked and we do want to get married at some point assuming our relationship is still going great... my plan is to attend college doing ROTC and then join the army during medical school. He wants to join the army now. Currently there are no issues with this however, when I graduate and join, I will be considered an officer and he will be a soldier so from my understanding we wouldn't be able to date or be married 😢 I have tried convincing him to go to college and get a degree so he could be an officer but I also don't want to stand in the way of his life goals... I am torn because I love him but I want to follow my dreams... any advice?
