Why is my period always late?

I know there are a bunch of reasons periods can be late, but like whyyyy? Mine is consistently late all the time. (>.<) A normal cycle shouldn't be like once every 2 months.

Mine can be between 28 to 40 days long. Each woman is different.

Could be thyroid problems. I have Grave's disease and before i went on medication, it could take up to 3 months in between periods.
