endometriosis
I am 37 and have been TTC for 3.5 years. I had initial testing done in Spring of 2015. Due to pain I had to have a bilateral cysectomy at the end of 2015. Just before my surgery my FSH was 7.6. While I had had read that the surgery could do some damage to the vascularity of my ovaries there was no recommendation to freeze my eggs etc.
I am working with a new fertility specialist and was just told the devastating news that I am most likely not going to be able to have my own child. 😢 The damage done by endometriosis and the surgery has raised my FSH to 20-22 (two tests were done).
If anyone out there has endometriosis and is considering surgery I urge you to look into extracting/freezing your eggs prior to avoid my heartbreak.
Is there anyone out there that has had success getting pregnant with their own egg in a similar situation?
