Do I get my boyfriend a fathers gift or not?

Question

Little bit of background:
Right after my baby turned 1 in August 2016, his father/my husband told me he was no longer attracted to me, didn't love me anymore and wanted a divorce. I begged and begged to fix things but he was settled on what he wanted. 
I met a man who took on me and my son full force right away. We've been together about 8 months now and he is absolutely amazing to both me and my son. He takes my son out and joins us on adventures, my son even calls him "dads Din" (dada Dillon, and we have no idea where he got that nickname from because we've literally never said that. Lol) 
We're planning to move in together once he's done in the fire academy and in a couple years we want to have kids (I'm not ready for another any time soon.) 
Now my question is, should I get him something for fathers days?? He doesn't have kids but he's so involved with my son and always tells me how much he feels like my son is his own child. Not to mention my son's real dad already offered to sign over custody to me if I want him to.

It takes more than biology to be a good dad. If he's filling the father figure role, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Definitely yes because  he stepped up and did what a real man is supposed to do. He knew getting with you with also being with your son and it doesn't matter if his dad is there.your son has a positive father figure in his life and I think he definitely deserves a gift just to show that you guys appreciate him being there and everything his does.

If he ain't in the picture, I don't see why you should go through the hassle of finding him a gift, especially if someone else is filling in, and he's already expressed interest in signing over custody.

If you absolutely feel the need to, get him something simple and cheap; some cufflinks, a tie, nothing too fancy nor too personal.

My SO has been the only father that my son's knows. He has been a great dad to him. We met when I was 3 months pregnant and support me since the day one we met. We move in together when my son was 3 months old.Now he is 18 months calls him papa and perfers being with him 😳😒 stead of me😔.  The father is not the sperm donor but the one that is willing to give time, love and support for the baby. ❤ I think you should buy him a gift.
