how bad does an epidural hurt?

Can Anyone give me feed back on epidural I watched a video on it and I'm freakin out how bad it is really ?!

It feels like a pinch in your back. You get a shot that numbs the area.

I got mine done during contractions so compared to them it was nothing! Just a long scratch in your back. You have to stay completely still! X

I didn't even feel mine go it at all.

I didn't feel any pain but I swear it felt like someone was taking a chisel and hammer to my vertebrae. Once again not painful but very unpleasant. It also failed the first 3 goes, the 4th was a spinal for a csection. I had no side effects after though, no headache or backache 👍

I didn't feel a single thing, not even a prick. But I was in some tremendous pain from the contractions. And after it was pure bliss as I felt nothing at all, AT ALL! And here I am 1 year later and no problems from it whatsoever. I'll be getting one in October with this pregnancy too.

No pain but I felt the pressure, it took him a few tries but wasn't as scary as I expected. My husband though almost passed out watching it 😂 reason why some hospitals kick dad out during the epidural.

Not bad at all, and I had one and was in zero labor pain so I could have a preventative procedure done. I am sure that when you are in labor you will not care about that pain if there was some... mine was very minimal.

I'm freaking out about it too! I can't decide wether I want one or not. I remember 11 years ago when I was in labor with my son I didn't want one. But hours later when I'm screaming "Mom tell them I want the f**king epidural" it was too late. I'm just really nervous about it.
