Should mamas have baby showers for all their babies or only the first?

Most of my family thinking mamas should only receive a baby shower for their first baby and only the first born. Your thoughts?

I think every baby should be celebrated, my Mon always told me you only have a shower for your first baby because you're supposed to hang on to everything and hand it down to the next baby. But I don't like that idea because it makes it seem like the first baby is the only important one.

My opinion on baby showers is they are a celebration of a baby's life. I will have one with every child I have, I will make it clear that people don't need to be expected to bring gifts but all gifts received will be greatly appreciated. 
Even a simple bbq and just talking and thinking about the new baby that's about to come into the world would be great for me.

I think, if you have a boy friend then get pregnant again and it's a boy no, unless the kids like 10 and you have no baby stuff from them, but if they're younger and you still have stuff then no, but if you didn't have stuff because the first baby was older and you got rid of the stuff or if your first was a boy and the second was a girl then yes. Because you can't reuse boy stuff on a girl. Or just have multiple. It's not my pregnancy lol. To each their own.
