Birth story! 👶🏻💙

Hannah • Albie, 4/4/17 💙✨
Sunday evening 2nd April I had just got into bed and started having some 'weird pains' I decided to start timing them and they were definite contractions! I was up all night! My waters broke at home Monday morning so we rang maternity and they told us to come in, they confirmed my waters had broke. I then had a  4hr window to bring on labour myself so I went home and did everything; walked, bounced on my ball, ate pineapple, drank raspberry tea leaf but nothing worked and my contractions eased off. They came back thick and fast Monday night and we decided to go up, I was examined and told I was 3cm so we stayed the night. Unfortunately I didn't progress so I was taken through to delivery suite at 7.30am and the hormone drip was started. From 8am - 12pm (midday) I was 10cm!! It happened pretty fast and I asked for diamorphine🙈 I then pushed for a total of 1hour 20mins and my little boy, Albie was born at 14:13 on 04/04/17 weighing 7lb 6oz. 40 hours in labour but totally worth it!! If I'm honest contractions are more painful then giving birth and I personally think it's not as bad as I thought it would be ☺️. He's coming up to 7 weeks now!
