MRI results

Hello I just wanted to share this very important info for those that may be going through the same thing. My husband and I have been battling infertility for the past 4 years. We both have had every test done from 3 different fertility clinics, 3 different doctors. I've had 3 surgeries to remove polyps that weren't really in the way but were removed just to make sure that wasn't the cause of our infertility. But still year after year nothing. We did 4 IUI and nothing. Every doctor told us we need to do IVF but we were hesitant because nobody could technically find anything wrong with us. Until the third doc finally suggested an MRI because I complained about lower abdominal pain randomly throughout my cycle when I would exercise intensely for the past year. But other docs said it was normal. The MRI results came back but only a report was sent of the description and when translated the doc said I have fibroids but they are not in the way of implantation. I did not need surgery to remove them and suggested IVF. We then went to a 4th doc for another opinion. I had another SIS exam and he found 5 large fibroids. 3 in the muscle and 2 in the cavity blocking almost the entire space. There is no way a baby could implant and grow there. He then requested the MRI images to view and you can see the fibroids in the cavity clear as day. He was surprised the report of the MRI didn't say that. So now we have found an answer. I do need surgery to remove them. Hopefully after that 6 mo recovery we can get pregnant. All these years my husband had a gut feeling that someone was missing something. If we would have done IVF it would have never worked. We would have paid a lot of $$$$$ and been very disappointed. We still have a few challenges but at least we know now what the problem was. I hope to report good news early next year when we can start trying again.
