Do you pick your newborn every time she/he cries?

I try to respond to every cry. Babies this age are going through their first stage in development: trust vs mistrust. It's important to respond to your baby and respond in a consistent manner.

All parents have their own styles, so it's really your call. Some women swear by self-sootheing, or the cry-it-out idea. I just don't agree.

Yes because she only cries when she's hungry or she's not comfortable.

See, my little stinker 3 month old is a faker. Lol. He's become spoiled. I have learned to distinguish cries. So when I just put him down and he starts to make fake cry noises for me to pick him up again. I can tell. And sometimes will giggle in between the noises he makes.

During the night i wait a few minutes to see if she'll go back to sleep or go into full blown crying. During the day I always try to soothe her.

Depending on severity of crying. If he has tears and screaming then I pick him up. If he is fussing he will be fine. I have a one year old that walks so it's hard to keep both still for long lol

If she's fed and changed then nope! She will generally self settle within a few minutes. It's normally more of a whinge because her dummy had fallen out, so that's a quick fix 😄
