What would you consider yourself to be?

I went to my first OB appt last Thursday. According to my LMP i would have been 9 weeks exactly, Due December 22. When we did the ultra sound, they said the baby is measuring 9w4d, which means my due date would be December 17th. 
My doctor stayed with my original due date and I am totally bummed about it 😞 I don't mind having a baby close to Christmas but do not wish to be in the hospital on Christmas. I want to be home with my 6 year old. 
I keep telling myself that I am only 9w4d today but knowing in the back of my mind, baby is measuring at 10w1d, I want to consider myself that. 
Personally, how far would you consider yourself to be? I sort of hope my doctor will change my due date as we go along 😁

I think you just gotta go with what the doctor says. He knows best.

To be honest, I was pretty bummed about an early December due date. But then when I really got out of myself and thought about it, I am so, so blessed to be having another baby. I don't care about the date. We lost our last one at eight weeks and it took me to a dark place. It really shook me up for many weeks afterwards. Personally, I feel really selfish and stupid for even worrying about the due date.

Just try to count your blessings. And take it one day at a time - you're right, you have a lot of weeks ahead.

And if Christmas might have to be a little different this year....that's okay! It's worth it for your brand new babe. And it's just one Christmas. I don't think your six year old will be traumatized.

Remember that the baby will grow faster at some points and slower at others. He may measure completely different next scan which is probably why the dr didnt change your due date. 😀😊

If its less than 7 day difference they usually keep your original. My baby is measuring 4 days smaller

That's strange. I've never heard of a doctor not going by the ultrasound measurements.

I'm in a similar situation. My ultrasound says 11/28, my LMP says 12/2. I set this app right in the middle - 11/30 - bc I had already changed it before my doctor let me know she wasn't going to adjust my date and I didn't want to go all the way back to 12/2 lol.

My dr said they don't officially change it unless it's more than a week different. But she also said it's pretty irrelevant bc almost no one has their baby on their due date, especially first time moms. I figured in the long run if I'm overdue it will be longer before I feel pressured to induce labor.

And I just tell friends who ask that I'm due at the very end of November, so we might see a December baby. It is what is it is I guess lol

I'm due December 22 too! But unlike your case, my doctor says baby is exactly on schedule. So at this moment, it's looking like Christmas this year will either be delayed lol or ahead of schedule 😂

I must be missing something. It sounds like baby is ahead of schedule, so you'll have given birth and be home for Christmas with both kids. It's the that better?

By my calculations I'm 12 weeks today, doctor says I won't be 12 weeks till Friday. It's only a 3 day difference but everyone says u either go 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after due date. Idk I'm still pretty excited, mine and my mom's birthday r both in early December! My husband and i tried so long it's our little miracle baby. Congrats on ur pregnancy​!
