Question for people who may have been in my boat

Nicole • Nicole Bloomfield
This is a serious question. My husband and I have been married a little over a year. He was married once before me and had two children (ages 19 and 20 now). While his ex was pregnant with the youngest he had a vasectomy because he didn't think he would want more kids. Now he's with me and we want a baby. He's going in February to get his vasectomy reversed. I actually have several questions. First, how can we "up" his sperm count? Second, how likely is it that it will be successful after 19 years? Third, any TTC tips to help me get pregnant fast?

My husband and I have a similar story. He has two sons 16 and 14. He had his vesectomy 13 years ago. This January we had it reversed. His first sample at 6 weeks post op had little to no sperm and none were mobile. We were so disappointed. His second sample was at the low end of the normal range and slightly below normal for motility. His doctor claims the surgery was a success and that we should be able to get pregnant. This is our second cycle ttc. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will be pregnant soon. Good luck to you!!

Take prenatals. Try this. It's supposed to help. It'll take a few months after his surgery for sperm count to go up but it's possible.
