pain 7 months pp?

My baby will soon be 7 months old, but I'm still having pain! 
I just feel really sore, especially when it comes to sex and/or foreplay! KY jelly helps.. (TMI) I'm wet enough.. but I just feel really sore.. like an open wound! Around the opening of my vagina and inside too! Been to see the doctor and he gave me antibiotics just invade I had an infection! But they didn't work! I had a straightforward birth, with an episiotomy... should I really still be sore?! The doctor referred me to a gynaecologist today, and she told me it would be a long waiting list.. but I really want to start trying for baby #2! So I'm a bit stuck atm! Any suggestions?! I get sore still,  but I had a 4th degree tear and episiotomy. Haven't even attempted sex yet.

Still hurts at the beginning of sex for me but I'm also on waiting list for an ultrasound as I have pelvis discomfort every single day-like a balloon is inflated in my pelvis all the time. I feel like something isn't right since delivering.

It does seem really weird that you would be having pain this long after giving birth. My gynecologist said that only a very small number of her patients are still having pain at 10 weeks pp. I was, so she prescribed a hormone cream for me to rub daily on the vaginal opening to help the tissue regain elasticity. It helped so much! In a week and a half, we were able to have sex without pain again, as long as we went slow. After another two weeks we were back to normal.
