How do I successfully is OV kit?

I've never taken ovulation tests and don't really know how to use them. I think I'm done with AF, I've just had small spotting today. When should I start using the OV strips? Thanks for any feedback?

My tests are showing that I actually ovulate right after my period, totally different from what the app says- therefore I was missing my ovulation by following the app alone

as soon as your period ends , i got lucky that i tested positive when glow said i was ovulating
