mosquito repellents

Hello! 9 weeks pregnant and headed to southern Florida (Santa Rosa Beach) for vacation in mid-June (I'll be 12 weeks pregnant when I'm there). At my 6 week checkup, OBGYN said vacationing there was fine, but to be cautious and use mosquito repellent. She said to use whatever and she didn't put any restrictions on the brand or type and said I didn't need to be worried about high concentrations of ingredients - just to follow instructions on the bottle for applying. I've been reading reviews and articles about deet vs. picaridin and it's all confusing and seems like both have their merits. The latest consumer reports on mosquito repellents list Sawyer Picaridin Insect Repellent as the most effective against the Aedes Mosquitoes (Zika carrying mosquitoes). Has anyone had any good luck with a certain mosquito repellent? Any helpful tips on applying? Any general information about visiting FL that will put me at ease while visiting there?
