marine girlfriend in need of some advice!
Hi ladies!
So I'm in a relationship with an amazing marine, honestly one of my best friends. We were very close for about nine months prior to us starting to date. However, we started dating as he was getting ready to deploy(Afghanistan). I had known about it for months so I was mentally prepared and felt so so confident that we could do this. So far we have and I'm so happy about that. We're also very lucky that he has cellphone service and wifi so we can talk whenever we want to(trust me I don't take that for granted). However, recently he's become kind of distant and not really affection. I feel stupid for missing him sometimes because he just seems perfectly fine. He was never too big on giving affection to begin with (that didn't bother me too much) but now it's like I'm just a friend again. I've tried bringing it up and really only the serface of the issue gets fix and I end up giving up because I don't want to stress him out more. So my question for you military spouses and girlfriends are, is it common for your S/O at times to be more distant than usual during deployment (I don't mean cause their busy I get that), should I just let this feeling go and buck up, or should I really address it with him. Thanks guys, i know this was a novel lol
