I'm pretty sure they said 6 weeks but I waited like 2-3 months because a child came out of there & the thought of putting something in there after that scared me half to death!!!!

6 weeks is recommended. I waited 6, it hurt and started my bleeding up again. Waited another two weeks (8w total) and although still tender it was fine .
