Am I being over dramatic?

Question

My husband and I agreed on a boys name, Grayson Solair. I chose the first name and he chose the middle. We like the unique-ness. But now I'm super off put because he says he's only gonna call them by their middle name. Am I over dramatic for getting annoyed at that? What's the point of even having the first name? Makes me just want to choose another name set in general.

*Solair is from a PC game he plays and is obsessed over that's why I let him have the middle name so yes it was in the name but not something to be called regularly..*

It seems immature on his part. Like "ok you can choose the first name, but I'm only gonna call him by MY name that I chose!" Kinda childish sorry. It might confuse the baby being called by 2 different names by his parents. But everyone else is going to call him by the first name so let him look like the weirdo lol... if he's being immature then the more attention you give it, the more stubborn he'll be,  kinda like how you have to deal with a toddler lol so I'd just ignore it and he'll likely stop when the time comes.

Generally, a couple agreed to call their child the same name — usually the first name. Him forgoing that and you two being on separate pages will only confuse your son. I'd talk to him about this and remind him that this is serious to you — not some video game plot twist. Or just start calling your husband by his middle name only and respond — "oh I thought this is what we're doing now."

It's important to agree on the name and what you'll call your child. And why the hell is he wanting to name a kid after a video game character? The whole thing seems really childish.
