sleep training advice?!
My little man had his 6 month appointment 2 days ago and the doctor was pretty forceful with the idea that we need to get our son in to his own room sooner rather than later. No one is sleeping in our house because he is up and down all night, he starts in his crib and ends up in our bed and still takes 2 bottles a night. He is such a light sleeper that when we come in to bed it wakes him up and we have to start the whole trying to get him to sleep thing over again. And this happens every time one of us gets up to use the bathroom or my husbands 4:30 alarm goes off etc. Our doctors suggestion was to get him sleepy full and comfortable tuck him in and leave him and then every 5 min go back in and reassure him he is okay until he falls asleep. Yesterday was our first day trying it and naps went pretty well but the night time was horrible! I'm not sure i can do that again, he screamed forever and when I would go in he would shake and grab my arms and whimper until I left and he would scream again. Now today if I so much as step in to another room he starts to cry and shake and acts like he doesn't trust me not to leave him again. Has anyone had success with his method? I'm pretty sure I can't do it again lol like ever
