How to wean off breastfeeding?

My 6 month old is not showing much interest in wanting to nurse anymore. I have always had to supplement with formula since my supply was never great enough to EBF. Planning on weaning off and just curious those who have done so how did you do it or what worked for you?

My little girl feeds 5 times a day. I slowly dropped feeds and gave formula at those feeds. The first to go was the early evening feed (at 4 months) then the afternoon (at 5 months) and now the mid morning feed has gone in the last couple of weeks (at 6 months). So just breast feeding first and last thing. Will stop the last feed next as I just find it convenient to breast feed first thing in the morning and not have to make up bottles but I know a lot of people keep the evening feed going the longest. I've had problems with engorgement so just wanted to really take my time and so far I've been fine and within a week of stopping a feed I can tell I've been producing less so you could probably cut a feed out a week if you wanted to but just don't suddenly stop!

I'm doing the same and I just slowly have been increasing the time in between nursing/pumping so my supply is dropping.  Basically I'm fading out.  I went from 6 to 7 tines s day down to 5 and now 3 to 4.
