your babies sleeping position?

My daughter is 5 months, and she is now sleeping on her stomach. I put her down on her back, and I go in the room to flip her back periodically.. I'm not sure this is safe.. anyone else dealing with this?

Yes, my son almost always flips to his stomach when I put him to sleep. The doc said you can't do anything about it and it should be fine as long as the baby is putting him/herself there. Just make sure the baby is sleeping on a hard flat mattress with no blankets or anything in the crib (or wherever they sleep).

If she can roll herself over, then it is safe if she ends up on her belly! The problem is if she can't rollover yet cause then suffocation can happen. If she's rolling, don't even bother flipping her over :) she will be okay

If baby can move themselves, they are fine to sleep that way. My son will start on his back, and ends up on his side or partial stomach. And he can roll back and move his head if he needs to.

Sleeps on his side with his bottom half twisted tummy side down... like momma.😣 so bad for your back! I try to lay him differently but he moves back lol

My son has slept on his belly since 2 months. At first I was paranoid and kept close watch on him for months but nothing happened. He breaths fine. It's the only position that's most comfortable for him. Now that he's rolling all over the place, he still chooses to sleep on his stomach and sometimes his side. He's now 5.5 months. What worries me now is that he's rolling around so much in his sleep sometimes that I find him stuck in awkward positions in the corner of the crib.

Mine is a tummy or right side sleeper! I used to freak out about it but he sleeps so much better and he always has his head turned to the side

My LO has been sleeping on his stomach since the day he figured out how to roll over, he clearly prefers it haha. I don't worry too much because the pediatrician says once they can put themselves in that position they should be okay. We also use an owlet foot monitor which gives me a lot of peace of mind as well.

Yes my son has went to his stomach sense 3& 1/2 months. Once he could roll that way there was no stopping it. He does it on his own but it got to the point if I didn't put him on his tummy when he slept for the night he would be up. Just help baby switch sides of the head to lay on and doctor said it would be ok
