Period late, tests negative

So, I already have 2 kiddos. A 3yr old girl Love and a 9.5 month old boy Lazarus! And since like middle of March or something I haven't been having a period, for April or May. But tests are negative. Am I just testing too early, or just getting crappy brand tests?
