My husband and I have been ttc for the past year. I am 36 and he is almost 46. We already have a son who is 3 and we conceived him immediately. I have 28 day cycle but for the past few months I have noticed spotting 2-3 days before my expected period. I am due this Saturday but started spotting on Tuesday. My OBGYN recommended that I see a fertility specialist given my age and the length of time hubby and I have been trying. What I'm wondering is whether my luteal phase has shortened. Has anyone else experienced this as well?
